I have to say that I used to be a long term Alpine guy until my last headunit. It was a top of the line Kenwood that changed colors, played MP3 cd's and all that jazz. It was a great headunit. Had it for 7 years. Towards the end of its life it's display would cut out, but other than that it worked great. So after that experience I wanted to look at Alpine's and Kenwood's as I feel they offer the best quality. So on to my search of a headunit. I decided that I didn't want a double din with a touchscreen in a car like mine (1986 Porsche) it would look out of place. So I thought about what was important. Bluetooth, Ipod/Phone, and a decent radio tuner. CD was a bonus. You have to think if you have an ipod do you really use CD's after that point? I don't. There are two options.
